Composer & Musician

Paul Williams

Exploring the confluence of late-tonal theories and jazz harmony and their impact on contemporary practice

About

I am a composer and musician with a deep fascination for the theoretical frameworks that underpin contemporary music. My work explores the rich territory where post-tonal theory meets practical, seeking to create music that is both intellectually and emotionally balanced.

My research focuses on negative harmony and its applications in modern composition and improvisation. It examines how various post-tonal theories of the 20th century have evolved and interconnected. Through both academic study and creative practice, I aim to bridge the gap between theoretical understanding and musical expression.
